AWOW TOP 10 OF 10: REMARKABLE CURRENT AND PAST KNOCKOUTS

This week, our  Top 10 is dedicated to Impact Wrestling's current and past Knockouts, who contributed to the second best USA promotion.

Ten is not enough to include all of the amazing talents who were involved with the Knockouts division in the past and who are fighting for it.

Many former WWE Superstars and developmental talents had and have their moments in TNA. Currently we have Gail Kim  and Maria Kanellis, former WWE memorable Divas, who work as a top competitors and valets for the promotion's women division. We have Raquel and Chelsea Green who were involed with WWE Tough Enough. Even Jade also known as Mia Yim, has been related to WWE NXT and the Performance Center. Former Knockouts like Brooke Adams and Taryn Terrell reach the pick of their career in TNA, instead of WWE. Women like Tara (better known as Victoria in WWE) and Mickie James have their brief moments as Knockouts Champions in Impact Wrestling, despite their legacy in WWE.

Here are our top 10 women plus our honorable mentions in the Bonus section.

#10. O.D.B.
OK! ODB is one of our favorite non-typical, non-model alike women of wrestling.

ODB was OVW first Women's champion, but she didn't make it to WWE's ring. Why? Because at that time WWE had those legendary "Divas" standards and she didn't fit well with her tattoos and rude style, eventually.

In TNA/Impact Wrestling she had a tones of legacy. She was everything you can imagine - valet, champion, host of a segment. Her rebellious temper make her fan favorite. So she deserve her appearance, in that chart. Maybe she is top player and deserves to be on the top of the chart next to our #1 with many other girls down there. We are not happy with her last appearances in Impact. They pushed her in the background and used her in a funny segments. It's not her fall, mostly. But we respect her and will always remember her teams with Eric Young and Jacqueline. Her legacy is doubtful. We wish her a lot of success in ROH and we hope that WWE may see her, at last!

If they do not! We wish ODB more and more success and domination in other promotions!

 #09. MADISON RAYNE
 Madison Rayne is amazing!

She had several runs with TNA/Impact Wrestling, through her amazing career. Yes, TNA allowed their talents to leave (or release them temporary) and to return more powerful and hungry for gold, than ever.

I don't know which WWE standards Rayne has failed to cover. She is one of the greatest women at all that I have ever seen. She is nice as heel, nice as face - she is contactable as gimmick and character. Maybe she is too deeply associated with TNA (like Samoa Joe and etc.).

Madison, like ODB, deserves to be on the top next to our #1! She helped our #1 to be where she is today, like many other girls. But there is not enough place in there. She's our next TNA honorable #1, outside the chart!

#08. ROSEMARY AND SIENNA
Rosemary aka Courtney Rush
Two incredible indie talents, share the eight position.

Let's start with Rosemary.

I look at her as a female version of  the Boogeyman. She is fearsome, scary, demonic and crazy. Courtney Rush and TNA/IW are up-done themselves, by creating this horrifying and memorable gimmick. I like Rosemary, even her naive promo series about her genesis, from the last weeks. Me and my colleagues are thinking that she have a lot more to prove and give to the Knockouts roster.

Sienna aka Allysin Kay
On the other side of the #8, we have one powerful and technical, dominant woman with a lot of experience, too - Sienna, better known as Allysin Kay, outside TNA/Imapct Wrestling.

It was a good idea to make her Knockouts Champion. She and Jade (Mia Yim) deserve it! I am so happy that TNA honored them with their top prize. Sienna can be seen in WWE Breaking Ground season 1, in the tryouts moments. As long as we can see WWE didn't like her, but Impact Wrestling grab the opportunity to give this young woman the stage she needs.

#07. TARYN TERRELL

The amazing Knockout and desperate Christian, Taryn Terrell, had the time of her career in TNA, despite her memorable time with WWE as Tiffany.

Taryn get the amazing opportunity to work with great competitors like Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky and Angelina Love. She never step back in front of challenge and gave Gail Kim several of Kim's greatest matches.

#06. ANGELINA LOVE
Angelina is another woman, who every TNA fan or women's wrestling admirer can named. She has done a lot for TNA, for years. She is their multiple Knockouts Champion, she had her best and bad periods with the company.

It's sad that TNA/Impact doesn't have a roster page, where next to the current superstars to honored the Alumni like Love and her best teammate and friend - Velvet Sky. As the Beautiful People, they engage in a serious battles against other super athletes like Sarita (Sarah Stocks -WWE) & Rosita, Brooke and Tara, Awesome Kong and Hamada.

Angelina has made a legacy of her own. She's one of those underestimated by WWE women (known as Angel Williams, back then), who find a huge success in the rival promotion.

#05. VELVET SKY
Velvet Sky is iconic!

That woman has traveled to Mexico, to compete. She loves wrestling and spend her young life, dedicated to TNA/Impact Wrestling and every independent ring, that allows her to face any challenge.

She is dedicated professional.

The managers in TNA, know that and use it properly by allowing her to be their Champion, on several occasions and to be part of many memorable rivalries, during her runs with the company. She's a great addition to every roster. It's sad that WWE didn't signed her in the past or in the last few months as a Duchess of Dudleyville. Of course her legacy in TNA is important, it last over a decade, but I think that she deserves even better.

Until then you can browse on YouTube and watch Velvet facing some of the best women of the professional wrestling.

#04. AWESOME KONG
Awesome Kong's legacy is undeniable

Not only for TNA/Impact Wrestling. For the wrestling at all.

She's powerful and dominant. She can challenge every woman in the locker room to over-jump themselves. Her epic matches with Gail Kim and many others former fellow Knockouts are historical.

Kong's Legacy is one of the strongest in TNA. Her accomplishments are example that you can be someone out of the borders of fake standards and to earn respect.

   #03. JADE
One breath-taking small package piledriver separates Jade from every win.

Known also as Mia Yim, that brave young woman is not afraid to face any challenge. She overcomes everything with her unbeatable spirit, with her power to take a stand against  everything. It was not a surprise that TNA trusted her and gave her the top prize of the Knockouts division.

Jade/ Mia Yim is talented enough to takeover any division who signed her. She is a legendary competitor on her own. Jade deserves her 3rd place (even #1) and she has won a special place in our hearts.

#02. MICKIE JAMES
Mickie James contribution to the women's wrestling is limitless!

She's a part of a very special generation of WWE formerly-known, as Divas. She, Melina, Jillian, Beth Phoenix and etc. were responsible for a lot of great matches and angles. Mickie helped many new women to refine their skills.

Mickie's legacy in TNA is equal to this of Awesome Kong, Sky & Love, Traci Brooks, Madison Rayne...even bigger than that! James was able to prove that she can work everywhere and she can be on top of every division. Her historical matches in steel cage, are unforgettable. Her angles and storylines are always interesting. She deserves to be our top competitor, but the past years, were poor on wrestling events in TNA for her.

#01. GAIL KIM

Who do you expect, to be #1?

Hall of Famer, multiple Knockouts Champion.

Gail Kim has that dreamed pro-wrestling career. She worked hard for it. She never give up on challenge or opportunity. She is the leading example how one successful wrestling women's career, can looks like.

At this point Gail Kim is the face of the Knockouts division and one of the top contestants, who is paving the road for new talents like Jade, Marti Belle and Sienna.

Gail's contribution to TNA is undeniable, as many others, even more. When you see her working a match or angle, you can see that this woman loves what she is doing which is the best for business.
